The Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management Gwalior (ABV IIITM Gwalior) Recruitment 2026 for posts of 22 Assistant Professor. Candidates with M.Phil/Ph.D Can Apply Offline. Designation: Assistant Professor (Pay Level 10, Rs. 57,700 – 98,200, minimum salary Rs. 70,900; 7th CPC with admissible allowances).
Essential Qualification:
Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
All candidates must have first class in the preceding degrees, i.e., from graduation (UG) onwards.
If “first class” is not mentioned, candidates should have at least 6.5 CGPA/CPI on a 10-point scale or 60% marks in aggregate; conversions given by the Institute/University may be considered.
If CGPA/CPI is on a different scale, a certificate by authorized signatory confirming first class or equivalent 10-point scale conversion must be attached.
Degrees must be awarded by recognized Universities/Institutes.
At least one degree from graduation onward should be from IISc/IITs/IIITs/NITs/IIMs/ISI/IISERs, or the candidate should be working in regular pay scale at one of these institutions; candidates with degrees from high-ranked foreign institutions (QS/World Ranking preferably up to 500) are also eligible.
Relevant Experience: None required (fresh Ph.D. holders are eligible).
Other Essential Requirements: None specified beyond academic criteria.
Additional Desirable Requirements: At least one publication in an SCI journal.
Age and Inbreeding:
Fresh appointments beyond 35 years in case of Assistant Professor are discouraged, except for candidates with exceptionally brilliant research career and ongoing or approved externally funded research project.
Inbreeding is strictly prohibited for three years: applicants should not have been awarded their highest degree (Ph.D.) from ABV-IIITM Gwalior within three years prior to the last date of application.
Reservation-related Eligibility:
Reserved category candidates must attach category certificates in prescribed Government of India format issued by competent authority not below Tahsildar or First Class Magistrate.
OBC-NCL/EWS certificates must be obtained on or after 01/04/2025, and a latest certificate issued after 01/04/2026 must be produced at interview.
PwD candidates must have at least 40% disability in specified categories and produce medical certificate in prescribed form.
EWS candidates must meet criteria as per Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment instructions.

Computer Science and Engineering – Core: Computer Science & Engineering or Information Technology. Required Research: Theoretical Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Artificial Intelligence, Augmented and Virtual Reality, Data Science and Big Data Analytics, Ethical and Trustworthy AI, Generative and Agentic AI, Software Engineering, Distributed Algorithms and Systems.
Management Studies – Core: Management, AI & Business Intelligence. Required Research: Indian Culture, Business Communication, Ethics and Moral Values, Indian Knowledge System, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Managerial Economics, Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, IT-enabled Management, Public Policy, Behavioral Sciences.

Fresh appointments beyond the age of 35 years in case of Assistant Professor are discouraged.
Exception: Candidates with exceptionally brilliant research career and with ongoing or approved externally funded research project may be considered beyond 35 years.
The date for determining eligibility regarding qualifications, experience and preferred age limit is the closing date, i.e., last date of submission of application (25/02/2026).

Assistant Professor positions are in Pay Level 10 as per 7th CPC: Rs. 57,700 – 98,200 with minimum salary of Rs. 70,900.00.

New Pension Scheme (NPS) of Government of India is applicable to fresh recruits as per Institute rules.
