A candidate shall- “possess a Diploma in Civil Engineering obtained from Technical Examination Board or any of the Universities or institutions established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared as deemed to be a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government:
Provided that the candidate holding bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering shall not be eligible to apply
A candidate shall possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967
A candidate shall possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or Both.

Minimum Age Limit: 18 Years
Maximum Age limit: 33 Years
Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.
For Women, Reserved Candidates: 5 Years
For PWD (General), Reserved Female Candidates: 10 Years
For PWD (Women, Reserved) Candidates: 15 Years
For Reserved Women PWD Candidates: 20 Years
