The candidate must be a citizen of India.
The candidate must have passed: Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
Graduation and Two Year Diploma in Elementary Education
Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) (conducted by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education adhering to the rules and principles set by NCTE)

Minimum Age Limit: 18 Years
Maximum Age limit: 40 Years
Age relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable for the candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC (A & B), PwD (Person with Disabilities), Exempted (EC), Ex-Servicemen (ExS) and Para Teacher (PT) categories.

A candidate is required to pay the requisite fee as mentioned below (non-refundable) to obtain and submit filled in Application Form through online mode

For General Category Candidate : INR 600/- (₹600)
For OBC (A and B) Candidate : INR 500/-(₹500)
For SC/ ST/ EWS/ PwD Candidate : INR 300/- (₹300)

Scale of Pay: As per extant rules of the Government of West Bengal in this regard.
