A recent press release has announced the tentative RRB Technician vacancies for the 2025–26 recruitment cycle. As per the intent notice, a total of 6238 Technician Grade 1 and Grade 3 vacancies across 51 categories are expected to be released, based on assessments conducted by all zonal railways. This recruitment drive presents a golden opportunity for candidates, especially those who missed last year’s cycle, as such notifications are not frequently issued by the Indian Railways.

Candidates must already have the Educational/Technical qualifications prescribed in the CEN from recognized Institute/University as on the last date (i.e., 28.07.2025) for submission of ONLINE application
Diploma /Degree in Engineering will not be accepted in lieu of Course Completed Act Apprentices/ITI for the post of Technicians in Pay Level-2 unless otherwise specified. Graduate Act apprentice will not be accepted in lieu of Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA)

For Technician Grade 1:

Minimum Age Limit: 18 Years
Maximum Age limit: 33 Years
For Technician Grade 3:

Minimum Age Limit: 18 Years
Maximum Age limit: 30 Years

For Candidates belonging to SC / ST / Ex-Serviceman / PWDs / Female / Transgender / Minorities / Economically backward class (This fee of Rs 250/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges as applicable, on appearing in CBT.): Rs. 250/-
Others Categories (Out of this fee of Rs 500/-, an amount of Rs 400/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges, on appearing in CBT.): Rs. 500/-
